The New Westminster Police has laid numerous criminal charges after resolving "man with a gun" incident
on March 22, 2008.
Joshua Christopher Brennan (22 years-old) of Burnaby was remanded in custody over the weekend after being arrested by the Municipal Integrated Emergency Response Team after he arrived to a home with a handgun. Numerous criminal charges of which include Possession of a Firearm, Sexual Assault, & Uttering Threats have been laid against Brennan. Mr. Brennan will be appearing in New Westminster Provincial Court later today. The Municipal Integrated Emergency Response Team (MlERT) is comprised of officers from the New Westminster Police Service, Delta Police Department, Port Moody Police Department and the Abbotsford Police Department. MlERT trains for situations such as gun incidents and successfully resolve incidents ensuring public safety as well as safety for the police and the suspects.
