At approximately 20:50 hours, New Westminster Police responded to a call of "shots fired" in the 900 block of 19th Street. Several neighbours called police to advise they heard 5 or 6 shots and then saw a newer black SUV flee the area at a high rate ofspeed. New Westminster Police members attended the area and confirmed that shots had been fired as shell casings were left behind. There were no reports of injuries and no suspects have been identified at this time. The file is still under investigation.
