On April 22nd, 2009, the New Westminster Police Service returned another subject who had outstanding warrants in Saskatchewan.
26 year old Krystal BEADLE was arrested on April 16th, 2009 and transported back to Regina on the following charges:

In the early morning hours of April 16th, 2009, the Street Crime and Major Crime Unit’s of the New Westminster Police Service executed a Search Warrant at an apartment building in the 800 block of Carnarvon Street, New Westminster, BC, with the assistance of the Municipal Integrated Emergency Response Team.
Two adult males and one adult female were taken into custody. The search of the apartment located one firearm and a small amount of drugs. No charges have been laid at this time.

This media release is being issued to confirm that the New Westminster Police Service has been asked by the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) to conduct an External Police Act Investigation into the Police Involved Shooting involving VPD members on April 5th, 2009.
This Investigation is being conducted with the approval of the Office of the Police Complaints Commission under Section 55.1 of the Police Act. The New Westminster Police Professional Standards Unit has been assigned conduct of the file and NWPS Chief Constable ZAPOTICHNY has been delegated as the Discipline Authority.
