New Westminster – In the early morning hours of April 11, 2015, New Westminster Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of the 22nd Street bus loop. Police attended and spoke to witnesses who reported hearing sounds of gunfire; there were no reported injuries. Police re-attended the area later in the day and spoke to additional witnesses and are in contact with investigators from surrounding agencies to ascertain whether or not the shots fired are in anyway related to recent shootings in the Metro Vancouver area.
