New Westminster – On September 10, 2014 at approximately 11:00 pm in the area of 6th Avenue and 12th Street, NWPD Patrol members responded to the report of a fight taking place. After members arrived, they learned that a suspect had assaulted a local merchant outside of his store and then fled the area. The suspect is described as follows:
- Caucasian male
- 27-33 yrs
- 5 ft10”
- Athletic/muscular build
- Short sandy brown hair
- White t-shirt
- Dark sweats/blue jeans
The victim of the assault has suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. The NWPD Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation and is seeking witnesses to the assault.
