We at the New Westminster Police Department would like to welcome Carla Hotel to the New Westminster Police Board!
Carla is currently a Criminology Instructor and the Department Chair of the Criminology Department for Douglas College. Previously, Ms. Hotel was a Consultant for Children Who Witness Abuse Program and D-Code, a national research and policy think tank. Active in her community, she is Faculty Advisor of the Rehabilitation Committee and Personal and Sexual Harassment Advisor for Douglas College. Ms. Hotel has received several academic awards including the Simon Fraser Graduate Fellowship and Canadian Law and Society Association Bursary. She holds a Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia (UBC), a Master of Arts in Criminology and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Simon Fraser University (SFU), and holds a Certificate in French from a University in France.
