Pedestrian Safety – get your free reflector!

It’s getting dark out there, and now is the time to be thinking about making yourself visible while you walk.

On average, 76 per cent more pedestrians are injured in crashes from November to January every year when conditions are dark and weather is poor compared to June to August in B.C.*

The New Westminster Police Department is partnering with ICBC, and Transit Police, to hand out pedestrian safety reflectors and tips at two events in New Westminster to help educate pedestrians about the importance of being visible to drivers in dark, fall conditions.
